On April 10, 2019, Ms. Hart sat down with Gregory Floyd, President of Teamsters Local 237, on his weekly radio show, “Reaching Out with Greg Floyd” on AM970/The Answer. “Reaching Out with Greg Floyd” has featured many guests from various industries on the show, including Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, Special Counsel Alphonso David, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
Ms. Hart spoke with Mr. Floyd about New York’s recently enacted Child Victims Act and the new rights the law creates for victims of sexual abuse by extending the statute of limitations to pursue civil claims. Despite intensive lobbying by special interest groups opposed to the law, concentrated collective action by victims
and their advocates was critical to its passage.
Ms. Hart and Mr. Floyd also discussed Lowey’s case against Rockefeller University Hospital, which seeks an appointment of a special master to monitor Rockefeller’s document preservation and correspondence with hundreds, if not thousands, of victims of serial sexual abuser Dr. Reginald Archibald, who was employed by Rockefeller for over 40 years.
“Reaching Out with Greg Floyd,” which airs Saturday evenings at 7pm, can be heard throughout the five boroughs, on Long Island and in Westchester County.
