Peter Demato is an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on antitrust and commodities manipulation class actions.  During his time at Lowey Dannenberg, P.C., Pete has worked on cases that have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for Lowey’s clients.

Representative Successes

• Leading Lowey Dannenberg’s efforts as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in an MDL involving the use of software to allegedly fix prices (In re: RealPage, Inc., Rental Software Antitrust Litigation, M.D. Tenn.). • Litigated one of the first Commodity Exchange Act class actions related to spoofing, obtaining a $15 million settlement on behalf of investors (Boutchard v. Gandhi, N.D. Ill.).
• Represented patients in a healthcare data breach class action and obtained a $5.15 million settlement (N.Y. Sup. Ct., 2025).

Community & Personal

Pete is also involved in pro bono litigation, including representing a foreclosure defendant in an appeal involving the New York Foreclosure Abuse Prevention Act. Outside of work, Pete loves spending time with his wife and two children. He especially enjoys volunteering his time to help coach youth sports.
