NCB Management Services Data Breach Investigation
Lowey Dannenberg is investigating claims for violations of the common law and state consumer protection statutes by NCB Management Services, Inc. (“NCB”), as a result of a data breach involving highly sensitive data, including driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, account numbers, and credit card numbers.
What Happened and What Information Was Involved:
NCB is a national accounts receivable management company that provides account services to companies.
NCB recently announced that confidential client account information maintained by NCB was accessed by an unauthorized party. The information involved may have included details about credit card accounts that affected persons formerly had with Bank of America. NCB discovered on February 4, 2023, that an unauthorized party gained access to NCB’s systems on February 1, 2023. It was confirmed on March 8, 2023, that some information previously connected with affected persons’ Bank of America credit card accounts was potentially obtained by the unauthorized party.
According to NCB’s records, the information potentially accessed in this incident was related to a credit card account. The information involved may have included:
- First and last names
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Dates of birth
- Employment positions
- Pay amounts
- Driver’s license numbers
- Social Security numbers
- Account numbers
- Credit card numbers
- Routing numbers
- Account balances, and/or account statuses
