Bay Bridge Administrators Data Breach Investigation

What Happened and What Information Was Involved:
Bay Bridge Administrators is a full-service, third-party administrator of fully-insured employee benefit plans.
BBA recently announced that on September 5, 2022, BBA experienced a network disruption. BBA’s investigation determined that an unknown actor gained access to BBA’s network prior to August 25, 2022, and obtained certain data from the BBA network on or about September 3, 2022. On December 5, 2022, BBA determined that personal information was impacted in this incident. According to BBA, the information involved may include:
- Social Security numbers,
- Driver’s license or state identification numbers,
- Dates of birth,
- Medical information, and
- Health insurance information.
